A few months ago I released a free update to UIWS adding support for physical ripple reflection. I plugged it alot on twitter but for the sake of discoverability, thought I’d drop this update in here too! Please enjoy this lovely wistia embedded video below of the ripple reflection in action.
Really quite proud of myself for working out how to do this nifty little feature. It makes a huge difference to the believability of a dynamic, living world - though subtle at times after you’ve played a game with it and go to one without it, you notice.
We can all actually thank Division 2’s devs for inspiring this feature. I played that game and had a moment but quickly got to working out HOW DID THEY DO THAT. Got a bit busy after the proof of concept, but here we are, finally. Now you can make The Division 2 too.
